Palm Beach Pediatric Dentistry Offers “Miles of
Smiles” to Needy Children
Boca
Raton, FL, January 31, 2007 PRESS RELEASE – Board-certified
pediatric dentist Dr. Saadia Mohammed, DDS, owner
of Palm Beach Pediatric Dentistry, is partnering
with Boca Raton’s Florence Fuller Child
Development Centers to provide critical dental
care to the center’s children. To kick off this
partnership, and in honor of National Children’s
Dental Health Month (February), Dr. Saadia has
created the “Miles of Smiles” program, to take
place on February 9 and 10, 2007.
Miles of Smiles includes free exams and cleanings
for any Florence Fuller Child who signs up for the
program. Dr. Saadia and her team will be
working from 9 a.m. to at least 5 p.m. on both
Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10.
“I
wanted to be able to give back to the community,
preferably by helping children who don’t always
have access to quality dental care” notes Dr.
Saadia. “The Florence Fuller Centers offer
terrific child care to economically disadvantaged
children from the greater Boca area, so it’s a
perfect fit.”
While at Dr. Saadia’s office, the children can
enjoy Shetland ponies from www.personalponies.org
brought in for this event. Personal Ponies brings
UK Shetland ponies to disabled children. The
children will also be able to view movies on
flat-screen TVs mounted on every exam room’s
ceiling, read the many fun children’s books that
Dr. Saadia keeps in the waiting room, or even play
games.
Dr.
Saadia Mohammed is the only female Board-certified
pediatric dentist in Boca Raton. Her practice
focuses on pediatric preventive dental health and
minimally invasive dentistry, such as using lasers
for cavities. Her office is located at 9250 Glades
Rd., Suite 212, in Boca, near Lyons and Glades
Roads.

We
have partnered up with Sun-Sentinel NIE in
offering “A Visit
to the Dentist.” This student booklet has been
created to help K-5 students learn all about their
teeth and how to take care of them. It also helps
introduce students to their first dental visit. In
addition, you will find tooth-care chart so
students can track their dental care habits daily,
as well as interactive activities for them do in
the classroom.
If you like, please have your child finish
coloring the cover page of the booklet. We will be
providing toothbrushes and a surprise gift to all
children that bring in the colored front page of
the booklet. In addition, we will give a special
surprise to the kids that bring in the daily tooth
brushing chart.
