Creating a Pathway Toward Deeper Connections

For nearly 20 years, Dr. Saadia and our team have had the privilege of walking beside families on this journey. And while we don’t measure our work in numbers, we carry a deep sense of devotion to every child and parent we serve. Our team considers it an honor to bear witness to these first steps toward alignment — body, breath, and bond.

Every release is unique. Every family carries a story. And every visit is held with presence, reverence, and prayer — that this gentle act becomes a doorway to greater ease, healing, and connection.

We honor the truth that the mouth is not only a physical space but also a portal — for nourishment, for expression, for breath, and for connection. When a restriction is gently released, we often witness not just a change in function — but a softening, a shift, a kind of unlocking that goes far beyond anatomy.

In our practice, we see each frenectomy not as a routine procedure — but as a sacred moment of release.

Signs Your Baby May Need a Frenectomy

A frenectomy is a gentle, quick procedure that helps improve your child’s ability to move their tongue or lips freely.

Feeding Challenges:

  • Difficulty latching or staying latched during breastfeeding
  • Clicking or smacking sounds while nursing
  • Gassy, fussy, or colicky behavior after feeds
  • Long nursing sessions or falling asleep at the breast without feeding well
  • Poor weight gain or slow growth

Mama's Clues:

  • Painful nursing (pinching, cracking, or bleeding nipples)
  • Plugged ducts or mastitis
  • Needing to constantly reposition baby during feeds
  • Feeling like something just isn't right

Oral Clues in Baby:

  • Heart-shaped or notched tongue tip when crying
  • Inability to lift tongue to the roof of the mouth
  • Trouble sticking tongue out past the lower lip
  • A tight or “blanched” upper lip when trying to nurse

Breathing and Comfort Issues:

  • Snoring, mouth breathing, or noisy breathing while asleep
  • Reflux symptoms or frequent spitting up
  • Excessive drooling even outside of teething

What Happens if a Tongue-Tie or Lip-Tie is Left Untreated?

If left untreated, oral restrictions can quietly create challenges over time, such as:

  • Breastfeeding struggles
  • Digestive issues: colic, reflux, gassiness
  • Early weaning or bottle dependency
  • Speech delays or articulation problems
  • Picky eating or texture sensitivity
  • Mouth breathing and poor oral habits
  • Behavioral challenges
  • Snoring, restless sleep, or sleep-disordered breathing
  • Poor tongue posture affecting jaw growth
  • Misaligned or crowded teeth
  • Airway issues leading to fatigue or ADHD-like symptoms

What Happens During an Infant Laser Frenectomy?

We know how tender and emotional it can feel when your baby needs a procedure. We ensure it’s done safely and gently:

Gentle Preparation:

  • Calm, supportive environment
  • Time for questions and comfort
  • Pre-procedure feeding or soothing allowed

Safe Positioning:

  • Gentle swaddling or padded support
  • Firm but not forceful, always monitored

Laser Release:

  • Quiet, precise laser used
  • Quick release, minimal discomfort
  • Immediate reunion for feeding or skin-to-skin

Many parents notice an immediate improvement in latch or comfort. Babies are resilient and often bounce back within hours to days.

Aftercare and Healing

Recovery is often quick and peaceful. Here's what to expect:
